Welcome to the home of competitive student debate in Nova Scotia!

On this website, you will find information about the NSDS, upcoming debate events open to Nova Scotia students in grades 6 to 12, and resources and lesson plans for coaches and teachers looking to introduce debate to their students.

We are a volunteer-run organization. While we are happy to provide assistance to teachers and coaches looking to set up new clubs, we are unfortunately unable to provide direct coaching or other services to individual students. If you have a child who is interested in debate but attends a school without an active club, please find a teacher or volunteer who is willing to start a club and have them reach out to us.
